The RFU have now finalized the league placings across all leagues in England bar the Premiership. As a consequence, league leaders Avonvale have been promoted to the Southern Counties for 2020 – 2021, while bottom club Bradford on Avon have been relegated to Dorset and Wilts 2 North. Swindon 2 and Westbury have been promoted promoted from D&W 2.
Unusually, only 1 club was relegated from Southern Counties this year, and they do not compete in Wiltshire, hence the fact that one club has been promoted to a higher league (Avonvale), two more up to D&W1N (Swindon II and Westbury) but only one relegated (Bradford). This means that Chippenham, who finished in a relegation threatened 11th place in the league, stay in D&W1N in 2020 – 2021.
D&W1N looks like this for next season:
Minety
Warminster
Marlborough 2
Trowbridge 2
Westbury
Calne
Chippenham 2
Sutton Benger
Melksham
Frome 2
Swindon 2
Royal Wootton Bassett 2
So that leaves the league tables looking like this for the 2019 – 2020 season:
