Here we go again!

  1. Garin Garland’s 16 points take him throught he 100 point barrier for the season. He now has 106 points to his name.

  2. Dave Cooke’s try makes it 5 tries in 6 appearances for the 1st XV this season.

  3. Jack Ward’s two tries open his scoring account for the season in his 3rd appearance for the 1st XV.

  4. Matt Roberts’ try keeps him in 3rd place in the points scoring tally.

  5. Minety maintained their record of having scored at least one try in every league game this season.

  6. No new players were added to the team list for just the third time this season but there were 6 changes to the team who defeated Chippenham in the previous league match.

  7. Saturday was the second time that Minety have topped 40 points in a league match this season.

  8. The 3 points scored by Swindon were the least points Minety have conceded in a league match this season.

  9. Jack Ward became the 15th player to score a try in 10 matches thus far.

  10. The Swindon match was the third this season where no yellow cards were flourished at Minety players.

  11. The 1st XV have scored a total of 244 points, averaging 24.4 points per game.

  12. They have conceded just 147 points, or 14.7 points per game.

  13. Despite being 5th placed in the league, Minety are actually 8th in point scoring terms.

  14. However, defensively Minety have the 4th best record in the league for points conceded.

  15. After 10 matches Minety are just 9 points below table topping Combe Down and 26 above bottom club Swindon.

  16. Minety were the top points scorers in the league last Saturday with 41 points.

  17. The 2nd XV are 23 points below the league leaders, the unbeaten Corsham, and 28 points above bottom club Devizes, who they play against this coming Saturday.

Disraeli was available to play this weekend but refused the play on the left, having been a staunch right winger all his political life.
