No game for the firsts, but Minety seconds beat Melksham seconds 48-15 in a fast moving and hugely entertaining game up on the Nigel Bishop Memorial Ground.
The game included a hat-trick of tries for outside centre Luke Radcliffe (though that’s not him in the photo!) – see Match Reports (where there is a photo of Luke running in for his third try) for details.
Next Saturday, 3 April 2010: the 1st XV play a key home game against Corsham. Come along and support them if you can.
Kick-off is at 3 pm and there’s a buffet in the clubhouse before the game from 1 pm onwards at which all spectators and friends of Minety Rugby Club are invited to join us.
With only three league fixtures remaining, it’s vital that Minety win their home games if they’re to stand any chance of playing in Southern Counties South again next season.
The Dream Team, meanwhile, are away against Combe Down seconds, kick-off also at 3 pm.
Friends of Minety lunch: as you can see from the above, the refreshments before the Corsham game are now going to take the form of a buffet rather than a sit-down meal, BUT there will be a Friends of Minety lunch before the last league game of the season. This is against Tadley on Saturday 17 April 2010. We’d love to see you there. Please let Ken Judd know if you’re attending.
