Matt Stone’s 2nd XV headed to top of the table Corsham with just 12 players and did remarkably well to come away with a 52-7 defeat. The result keeps the 2nd XV in 6th place but the captain will be hoping for a full team and bench when they take on Devizes this weekend.
Elsewhere, Bath Saracens walk over against Swindon closed up the gap between 6th and 7th places. Corsham maintained their 100% record at the top of the table with Warminster not playing in 2nd place and 3rd placed Trowbridge going down at 8th placed Supermarine.
The 2nd XV end the first half of their league campaign with a home match against bottom of the table Devizes this coming Staurday and will be hopeful that they can pick up maximum points to close the gap on Chippenham and Bradford.
