Minety 2nd XV v Warminster 2nd XV

Saturday 9 February 2013

Dorset & Wilts Division 3 North

Dreamers dominate

Minety 2nd XV 36pts – Warminster 2nd XV 0pts

Benefiting from the return of Lee Patterson and Matt Oliver, a full strength Minety were always in control against 14-man Warminster.

Minety struck at the start when Ryan Dowling sped off down the wing, chipped ahead and collected his own kick to land the opening try of the game.

Dellam Murray crashed over for a try and Ashley Windle made another piercing run on his way to the line.

Andy Edwards converted kicked all three conversions to make it 21-0 at the break.

Playing downhill in the second half, Minety further punished the visitors with second tries from Windle and Dellam Murray.

When Steve Murray dived to block a Warminster clearance kick, the ball struck his head and fell nicely for Oliver to collect and power through for Minety’s final try.

Minety’s man of the match was Dellam Murray, who has played in four different positions in as many weeks and scored from all of them.
