All the news…

Saturday 20 November

Hard hit by injuries and non-availabilty of players, the firsts go down to a heavy defeat away against Calne. Minety seconds, meanwhile, having loaned five more players to the firsts, borrow in turn from the Minety Academy and put in a terrific performance to win away against Melksham thirds.

Full details of these games are now available in the Match Reports section. (And see the In Other News… section for feedback from the local press as to what they thought about this week’s second team match report!)

Sunday 21 November

Hurray for the Minety Academy! The Minety lads beat Swanage & Wareham in the final of the Dorset & Wilts u17 Bowl. The u15s also win and move further ahead in their league.

Full details of these games are now posted in the new Youth Match Reports section (see menu on the right of the screen). Photos of the Bowl final have also been posted in the Youth & Junior Rugby Section.

Stroud & District Combination Junior Cup

Following Stroud Nomads’ recent disqualification for fielding ineligible first team players, Minety seconds have been reinstated into the competition.

Minety seconds, who were themselves eliminated from last season’s Junior Cup on the same technicality, will now face Dursley seconds in the Quarter Finals. The date for this fixture has not yet been set but is expected to be early in the new year.
