All eyes on the cup this weekend

Minety 1st XV go into one of the most important fixtures of the season on Saturday as they take on D&W1 South’s Lytchett Minster in the Dorset and Wilts Vase Final at Warminster RFC, kick off 2.00pm.

The Wiltshire team will be taking a coachload of supporters to Warminster to see them take on the hitherto unbeaten Lytchett Minster team.  The Dorset side are unbeaten in the league this season scoring, on average, over 39 points per game whilst allowing the opposition a mere 6 points.

But Minety are confident that their form, which sees them currently 4th in the D&W 1 North division, with games in hand on the two teams directly above them, can see them through to cup glory.

Full details of the match and responses from players and officials alike will be on this site on Saturday evening.

The 2nd XV have no fixture this Saturday.  Having climbed to 4th in the D&W 3 North division on the back of the 85-0 victory over Westbury II’s, will travel to Melksham on the 5th December looking to improve upon their league position before the Christmas break.
