Minety Rugby Club is saddened to hear of the passing of ex-player Alan Hill who passed away on the April 29th in Ballymitty.
Alan presided over the finances as treasurer at a time when the club was experiencing rapid growth, and it's fair to say as a club we owe him a debt of gratitude for the stability and financial care that he curated and maintained, that has helped sustain the club to this day.
As remembered by Andy Somers: "He was a good man, a great club man, great company, a great tourist and is a big part of my earliest Minety memories when I joined in 1981."
We'd like to extend our deepest sympathies to Alan's family for their loss.
