Saturday 25 September 2010: Minety firsts narrowly lost by three points away against Pewsey Vale and the seconds narrowly won by three points away against Swindon thirds.
Following a tackle by two Pewsey players late in the game, Minety skipper Jack Ward suffered a dislocated hip. It later turned out that his hip was also broken in three places. Jack is now in the Great Western Hospital, not so much the main attraction as the man in traction…
We wish him all the very best for a full and speedy recovery. (We’re also wondering who is going to play flyhalf for the firsts this Saturday.)
A big thank you to our friends at Pewsey Vale RFC for all their help and supprt following Jack’s injury.
Full details of both Saturday’s games are in the Match Reports section.
This Saturday, both Minety’s senior sides play at home, the firsts against Fairford and the seconds against Calne 2. The match will be preceded by a Friends of Minety lunch in the clubhouse. Contact Ken Judd for details.
