2nd XV travel to Westbury

Attention focuses upon the 2nd XV this weekend, as they travel to Westbury in a Dorset and Wilts Division 3 North fixture that sees 7th place Minety tackle 8th place Westbury.

Westbury have won 6 of their 14 matches this season, accruing 24 points, 8 less than MInety who have played one more match.

The last time the two teams met, at Minety Fields, the home side registered their biggest win of the season whilst inflicting Westbury’s biggest defeat, an 85-0 drubbing.  Since then Westbury have won just once in 4 outings, to Devizes in February.

Minety 2nds have seen a slump in form since that win against Westbury in November.  In the intervening time, Minety have played 7 matches, winning just once in a 51-12 demolition of Devizes.

The 2nd XV will be looking to get their season back on track as they seek to close in on Corsham and Warminster, who sit immediately above them in the league.

The 1st XV have a blank weekend, with their fixture against Fairford cancelled.

On the 12th March Minety 1st will be away, in a re-arranged fixture at Corsham while the 2nds will be at home to Warminster.
